Kathleen Foottit spent the majority of her career working in the administration field, working under Executive Director’s and Registrars of the Ministry of Community and Social Services, Ministry of Public Safety and Correctional Services, Ministry of Attorney General and the Treasury Board Secretariat of the Provincial Government of Ontario.
Today, Kathleen is an ordained and licensed Minister with the Ministers Network Canada which is a Fellowship of Churches and Ministries across Canada and the nations. Having spent the last decade Kathleen has served in the ministry in the capacity of providing ecumenical church services at Oshawa long term care facilities, additionally providing spiritual and religious care needs to patients, families and staff in the capacity of a volunteer chaplain at the local hospitals. She is passionate about connecting and helping people and is highly knowledgeable in faith, theology, teaching various women’s bible studies, spirituality issues and public speaking. Kathleen is known for her hands on approach to tending her flock and makes a point to visit parishioners who cannot make it to church by meeting them in the hospital or nursing home.
Locally, she is active with the church board, Sunday school programs, Canadian prison system and various long term care retirement homes. Kathleen is based in Oshawa, Ontario and holds a Legal Administrative Degree, from Retter Business College, Toronto, Ontario and after attending Kingdom Bible College, holds a Bachelor of Theology Degree from Christian Life School of Theology, Georgia, USA.
Kathleen was raised in outside small-town rural Ontario where her family and her roots remain very much intact. Spending quality and quantity time and having a blast with her children and grandchildren—whether it be an impromptu road trip investigating historical sites, scouring the beach for a special rock, driving derby cars, attending church or a favourite music artist or group concert together, Kathleen’s family is her very best work and her highly esteemed treasure. She works hard earn the best Nanna award possible.
