Rajaa Hamdan Turns Change Into a Framework for Leadership
Executive and leadership coach Rajaa Hamdan draws on cross-cultural transitions, hospitality, and more than 15 years in HR and Learning & Development to help leaders approach change with clarity, confidence, and self-awareness.
For Rajaa Hamdan, leadership development begins with a premise shaped by personal experience: change can be approached as an opportunity to expand rather than something to fear. That perspective emerged as she moved abroad to study in a new country and language, first going to the United States and later making her way to Canada. Learning to navigate unfamiliar environments deepened her interest in cultures, human connection, and the ways people adapt.
Those transitions also established a pattern that continues to guide her work. Rajaa sees continuous learning and evolution as essential to contributing meaningfully. Today, as an executive and leadership coach and the founder of Coaching Next Leaders, she applies that outlook to professionals facing consequential moments in their own careers.
Building a Leadership Practice Across Fields
Rajaa’s professional foundation was formed in hospitality, where attentive service and a strong client focus were central expectations. She carried those principles into a career spanning more than 15 years in Human Resources and Learning & Development leadership. Her experience includes serving as Director of Learning & Development at Altasciences.
Across her HR and L&D work, Rajaa focused on building programs and strategies with intentional learning frameworks designed around the changing needs of internal clients. This combination of service, organizational learning, and leadership development now informs how she works with each coaching client. Rather than separating business priorities from individual growth, her approach brings them into the same conversation.
Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from Iona University. She is also an NLP Master Practitioner and a Certified Trainer in Crucial Conversations. Together with her professional experience, that training supports a practice centered on communication, self-awareness, and the practical demands leaders encounter inside organizations.
Supporting Leaders at Pivotal Moments
As a bilingual HR and L&D leader and executive coach, Rajaa partners with professionals, senior leaders, and emerging executives. Her clients may be moving through a career transition, assuming broader leadership authority, or working to build teams that can perform consistently while remaining resilient.
Her aim is to connect strategic leadership frameworks with deeper self-awareness. In practice, that means helping clients strengthen executive presence, communicate with strategic clarity, and navigate complex organizational settings. The intended outcome is not a prescribed leadership persona, but a more authentic way of leading—one grounded in an understanding of both personal patterns and organizational responsibilities.
This focus reflects Rajaa’s own experience of living and working across countries, cultures, and languages. Adaptation, in her view, does not require abandoning a sense of self. Instead, it can invite people to examine their assumptions, develop new capabilities, and become more deliberate about how they respond. Helping clients reframe change is therefore an important part of helping them lead with purpose.
Turning Reinvention Into Purpose
Rajaa is especially proud of the courage required to reinvent herself through personal transitions and professional pivots. She regards those periods not as roadblocks, but as steps that helped clarify where she could contribute most effectively. Founding Coaching Next Leaders represents the latest development in that journey.
The work she finds most fulfilling is creating space for others to recognize their potential. Through coaching and learning frameworks, she supports leaders as they address self-doubt, strengthen confidence, and seek renewed purpose and clarity. That emphasis places growth within the realities of leadership rather than treating it as an abstract exercise.
A Next Chapter Focused on Connection
Rajaa is now concentrating on growing Coaching Next Leaders and deepening her impact as an executive coach and bilingual L&D leader. Her priorities include designing strategic learning frameworks and facilitating coaching programs intended to help individuals lead with greater clarity and confidence.
Connection is also central to this next chapter. As a member of the Worldwide Women Association, Rajaa is interested in collaborating with women across industries and exchanging insights about leadership, resilience, and professional growth. It is a natural continuation of a path shaped by curiosity about other people and cultures.
From international moves to shifts across hospitality, HR, Learning & Development, and coaching, Rajaa’s career demonstrates a consistent commitment to learning through change. Her current practice brings those experiences together, helping leaders meet transition with reflection, practical frameworks, and a clearer understanding of how they want to lead.
