The Worldwide Women’s Association Recognizes Samah Hammond, DBA, HCMGT
As founder and CEO of Nurtucare, Dr. Samah Hammond is tuned into “the graying of America.” She established the home attendant services provider to offer families a better option when seeking care and assistance for elderly loved ones. She recognized that quality home care for loved one is a major priority for American households, and that over 12% of Americans are over the age of 65—a number that is expected to reach 20% by 2030.
While many other companies that provide in-home services for seniors offer nursing and medical support, Samah recognized that elderly patients require extensive care, even if medical assistance is not currently needed. Her staff at Nurtucare offer clients a broad range of non-medical services, including meal preparation, motion and exercise assistance, bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring and positioning, and general assistance, all under the company’s mission to provide caring support based in respect, trust, and love.
Trilingual in English, Arabic and French, Samah is based out of Dearborn, Michigan. She holds a DBA specialized in Healthcare Management from Walden University, a master’s degree from Davenport University, and is currently finishing another doctoral degree in naturopathic medicine.
In addition to being the CEO of Nurtucare, Samah is also CEO of OCCE, a nonprofit organization. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys reading, traveling, playing tennis, and painting. She credits her success to having a passion for her field and the dedication to put in the necessary hard work.
