With a decade of experience in neuroscience and clinical research, Amy K. Starosciak, PhD is the Director of Outcomes Research at Baptist Health South Florida and Voluntary Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Translational Medicine at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. She is responsible for the development and oversight of health services and outcomes research and provides leadership and guidance to ensure productive and meaningful research, performance improvement, evidence-based practice, translation of research to practice, and dissemination.
Dr. Starosciak earned her PhD in Neuroscience at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She is also a member of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Moving forward, she hopes to continue advancing in her career and to network with likeminded professionals worldwide. In her spare time, Dr. Starosciak participates in outreach events for stroke, neuroscience, and STEM and enjoys karaoke and cross-stitch.
