Yvonne Djonou Makamte

I am a bilingual professional fluent in English and French, with a strong foundation in customer service, security operations, and community support gained through work in diverse and fast-paced environments across Africa and Canada. My experiences have strengthened my ability to communicate across cultures, lead with empathy, and create safe, inclusive spaces where people feel respected and supported. Inspired by my first hand experience working with the more vulnerable from working with them in Cameroon and eventually doing same in Canada, I founded ChacInternational, a community-focused nonprofit based in Calgary two years ago. Through this initiative, I aim to give back by applying the skills, knowledge, and values I have developed in community service, advocacy, and leadership. I also hold a Diploma in Community Service and Addictions Worker, reflecting my deep commitment to empowerment, social impact, and lifelong learning. I am eager to connect, collaborate, and grow alongside women leaders who are driving positive change worldwide.
