Erika Solórzano Elevates Architectural and Exhibition Lighting Design with Cross-Border Expertise
Toronto— Creative Lighting Designer and Architectural Lighting Specialist Erika Solórzano is bringing a dynamic blend of design innovation, technical precision, and operational strategy to the North American lighting industry. With experience spanning Mexico and Canada, Solórzano continues to distinguish herself through impactful, budget-conscious lighting solutions across architectural, retail, residential, and museum environments.
Currently serving as Exhibit Lighting Designer at Lightemotion, Solórzano specializes in museum and exhibition lighting that balances artifact conservation, visitor engagement, and architectural integrity. She oversees projects from concept to completion—developing detailed lighting plans, technical specifications, and installation documentation while managing timelines, budgets, and interdisciplinary coordination. Her work reflects a meticulous attention to detail and a strong command of advanced lighting software, including AutoCAD, Revit, DIALux, ElumTools, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop.
Prior to her current role, Solórzano served as Project Supervisor at Zaneen Group, where she led the quotations and shop drawings department. There, she implemented process improvements, optimized response times through data analysis, and strengthened internal communication systems to enhance project efficiency and delivery performance.
Solórzano’s earlier experience includes lighting design and project leadership roles in Mexico City, where she designed lighting systems for retail, office, hospitality, and high-end residential projects. With a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, she built a strong foundation in architectural detailing, space planning, and experiential design.
In addition to her design credentials, Solórzano holds a Supply Chain Management Certificate and a Business Accounting Diploma from George Brown College. This multidisciplinary background allows her to integrate sustainable logistics, resource planning, ERP systems, and financial oversight into complex lighting projects—ensuring creative excellence aligns with fiscal responsibility.
