Veteran Media Executive Sima Salama Smith Brings Decades of High-Stakes Operations and Production Leadership to U.S. Projects
East Brunswick, NJ — April 2025 — With a distinguished two-decade career spanning global newsrooms, high-pressure field productions, and national broadcast entertainment, Sima Salama Smith emerges as a powerhouse in operations leadership, project direction, and creative production strategy.
Sima most recently served as Chief Operations Producer at i24NEWS, an international cable news network headquartered in Tel Aviv. For over a decade, she managed 73 direct reports across eight core departments—from field production to wardrobe—while navigating complex logistics and sensitive news coverage under intense real-world pressure. Her leadership was integral to the station’s coverage of critical events including wartime reporting from northern Israel and Gaza, national elections, and high-profile terror incidents.
“Sima is a rare blend of crisis-resilient executive and mission-driven producer,” says a former senior colleague. “Whether managing talent contracts or securing crew safety in active war zones, she consistently delivers with clarity, compassion, and control.”
Before her tenure at i24NEWS, she served as Chief Producer for “Good Evening with Guy Pines”, Israel’s most-watched entertainment show, often described as the country’s answer to “The David Letterman Show.” There, she oversaw 30+ staff members, managed celebrity talent, and ran field logistics for major national broadcasts such as the Survivor Israel finale.
Sima’s career began in military intelligence as a Naval Radar Operator in the Israeli Navy, a role that laid the foundation for her renowned precision, fast thinking, and situational awareness.
Now based in East Brunswick, New Jersey, Sima is exploring new career opportunities in U.S.-based operations, project management, and executive production. She brings a global perspective, bilingual fluency in English and Hebrew, and a lifelong commitment to service and mentorship—including volunteer work with Sudanese refugees and community soup kitchens.
