Sarah Campbell is a Visual Communications Designer with more than 19 years of experience translating complex information, organizational needs, and brand objectives into clear, intuitive, and user-centered design solutions. Her work spans visual communications, graphic design, brand systems, digital experiences, internal communications, illustration, presentation design, and creative storytelling.
Sarah’s interest in visual communication began early. As a child, she formatted her own stories for print and taught herself HTML to build websites, developing a natural curiosity about how design, structure, and storytelling can help people connect with information. That curiosity has continued throughout her career and now informs an approach that combines visual design with brand systems thinking, UX-informed problem solving, process mapping, and cross-functional collaboration.
Helping organizations simplify complex ideas, strengthen brand consistency, improve workflows, and create scalable tools is at the core of her approach. Through SR Visual, her brand portfolio, she showcases work across both print and digital environments, including marketing collateral, internal communication tools, brand systems, websites, presentations, and process-driven design solutions. She is particularly drawn to organizations undergoing change or growth and those ready to elevate their design and brand into a more effective operational tool. Her approach begins with a deep, holistic understanding of an organization’s history, story, processes, and unique challenges, allowing her to identify where visual communications can create the greatest value for a company or team. By combining thoughtful design with an understanding of how organizations operate, she develops visual solutions that are both purposeful and scalable.
One of Sarah’s notable projects was The Hub Intranet, where she designed and implemented a centralized digital workplace to replace a fragmented SharePoint environment. The new intranet was developed with scalability, security, and usability in mind and directly impacted more than 200 users across the company. The project brought together Sarah’s strengths in visual communication, user-centered design, information organization, and process improvement.
Sarah also developed Galaxy Children Explorers, an independently created tabletop game, leading its user interface, branding, interaction design, and marketing strategy. The project involved more than 500 playtests and ultimately reached more than 1,000 players across four states. The experience demonstrates Sarah’s ability to carry a creative concept from development and testing through branding, user experience, and market introduction.
Another meaningful project was her work with Greystone House Behavioral Health, an Arizona-based residential rehabilitation program focused on long-term, evidence-based treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. Sarah supported the organization’s launch and early communications through website design, brand collateral, operational setup, and training materials. She was particularly drawn to the organization’s emphasis on addressing the underlying trauma associated with addiction and its focus on serving the unique needs of the Native American community.
Across her work, Sarah believes the strongest design solutions are not necessarily the loudest. Instead, they are the ones that feel intuitive, communicate clearly, and keep human connection at the center of the experience. She brings that same philosophy to collaboration, valuing curiosity, shared problem-solving, and close partnership with creatives, marketers, technical teams, and organizational stakeholders.
Her core areas of expertise include Visual Communications Design, Brand Systems, Graphic Design, Marketing Collateral, Internal Communications, UX-Informed Design, Process Mapping, Presentation Design, Print and Digital Design, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Creative Storytelling, and Illustration.
Whether developing a brand system, improving an internal workflow, creating marketing materials, or making complex information easier to understand, Sarah’s goal remains consistent: to create thoughtful design that connects people to ideas with clarity, purpose, and care.
