The Worldwide Women’s Association Recognizes Lisa Stevens

Lisa Stevens, CEO of GreenBooks-Solutions, LLC, is bringing more than 30 years of accounting and information technology experience to a new chapter in business ownership. Based in Tomball, Texas, just north of Houston, she is getting her bookkeeping and accounting business started while preparing to retire after 29 years working for a prominent school district in the Texas educational system. Her transition centers on helping others succeed while creating a more balanced relationship between work and personal growth.

Lisa’s professional background spans both accounting and IT, two areas she is carrying forward into her business. Her listed skills include full-charge bookkeeping, accounting, personal tax preparation, technology consultation, and administrative services. These areas describe the breadth of experience she brings to GreenBooks-Solutions as she moves from a long career in education into an independently directed professional role.

Her 29 years in a Texas school district form a substantial part of that career history. As she prepares for retirement from the educational system, Lisa looks forward to applying her accumulated experience in a different working environment. Business ownership represents a planned change in how she works, with remote work and greater control over her schedule among her stated goals.

Lisa is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and has earned A+, Network+, and ITIL certifications in technology. Her credentials reflect the accounting and technology components of her professional background. She also earned a BBA from Sam Houston State University in 2006, adding formal business education to the experience and technical qualifications she brings to this next stage.

Helping others succeed is a central motivation in Lisa’s account of her professional direction. She describes herself as self-made and driven, and she is interested in connecting with business owners who need bookkeeping and accounting support. Her networking interests also include startups, making connections with people building businesses particularly relevant as she develops her own company.

The move into entrepreneurship is also personal. Lisa wants to work remotely on her own schedule and create a better balance between professional commitments and personal growth. These remain goals for her next chapter rather than outcomes she claims to have already achieved. Her plans for GreenBooks-Solutions bring together continued professional work, business ownership, and a more flexible approach to daily life.

Outside work, Lisa enjoys the outdoors and is an avid birdwatcher. She goes glamping with her husband and their two dogs, and spends some of her spare time on papercrafts, vinyl projects, and sewing. These interests are part of the personal life she hopes to balance with her business responsibilities as she moves forward with GreenBooks-Solutions.

The Worldwide Women’s Association invites fellow members to connect with Lisa to exchange professional experiences and explore shared interests in bookkeeping, accounting, technology, and business ownership.
