The Worldwide Women’s Association Recognizes Kasturi Golla

Kasturi Golla is a transformation-focused technology, data, artificial intelligence, and risk management executive whose experience includes leadership at Wells Fargo. Over more than 20 years, she has worked across data and analytics, technology, product, risk management, regulatory delivery, and AI. Her career has focused on navigating complex transformations by connecting business strategy with technology execution and effective risk governance.

Working at the intersection of business and technology, Kasturi helps organizations translate strategic priorities into executable transformation efforts. Her perspective encompasses the business objectives behind an initiative as well as the data, technology, governance, and risk considerations that influence implementation. This integrated approach is especially relevant as organizations assess how emerging technologies can support practical needs and long-term goals.

At Wells Fargo, Kasturi held leadership responsibilities involving risk and data analytics. As a former executive director and senior manager, she led enterprise initiatives related to AI adoption, risk analytics, responsible AI, data governance, and technology-enabled transformation. Her work involved complex initiatives spanning people, processes, data, technology, and controls within a highly regulated environment.

Earlier responsibilities across data management, engineering, systems and data analysis, architecture, innovation, and web services contributed to the breadth of Kasturi’s transformation experience. These roles gave her insight into how technology capabilities evolve from foundational systems and data work to enterprise platforms, analytics, governance, and AI adoption. They also strengthened her ability to connect technical execution with business requirements and risk considerations.

Kasturi’s background in risk management and data analytics provides a foundation for addressing both the opportunities and challenges associated with AI. She focuses on the governance, controls, processes, and data foundations needed to implement emerging capabilities responsibly. Her approach treats AI adoption not as an isolated technology project, but as an organizational change that must remain aligned with business value, operational realities, and established risk practices.

Responsible AI and data governance continue to be important areas of Kasturi’s professional focus. She is particularly interested in helping organizations approach innovation thoughtfully while developing scalable capabilities that support their objectives. By bringing together business, technology, analytics, and risk perspectives, she seeks to support transformation programs that can move effectively from strategy to execution.

Kasturi holds a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She continues to expand her understanding of emerging technologies through executive learning. Now based with her family in Frisco, Texas, she is also looking forward to eventually buying her first pair of cowboy boots.

Looking ahead, Kasturi plans to continue helping organizations connect innovation with business value and adopt AI and data capabilities in responsible, scalable ways. Her priorities include maintaining alignment among organizational goals, technology execution, data governance, and risk management as transformation initiatives develop. WWA members are invited to connect with Kasturi to exchange perspectives on responsible AI, data governance, risk management, and enterprise transformation.
