The Worldwide Women’s Association Recognizes Kristina Ljungborg Okuda


 
Kristina Ljungborg Okuda is the CEO of Desert Forest Nutritionals, a nutrition and wellness company that offers clinically researched whole food products that are native to the Brazilian rainforests. Focusing particularly on the Agaricus blazei Murrill mushroom (Agaricus Brasiliensis), the company offers both liquid and powder extract formulas designed to promote health benefits ranging from immune system support, kidney and blood sugar aid, antiviral and antibacterial purposes and general well being.
 
Born in Sweden and having resided in Brazil for 22 years before relocating to the United States, Kristina earned a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from the Faculdades Integradas Alcantara Machado in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She then went on to complete a Master of Business Administration at Adelphi University, and launched her career in marketing and sales with Nippon Steel USA Inc, in New York. Her broad background of experience has led her to demonstrate well-rounded leadership and to connect with others to help build her international business and provide others with the opportunity to share in the vast untapped expanses of Brazil’s natural resources of plant and fungi for their medicinal properties.
 
As a Nutritional Educator, an International and Multicultural Business Specialist, a Business Development Consultant and a Presenter, Kristina speaks an impressive 7 languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, Polish, French, Swedish and Japanese. She is increasingly invited to Kristina present on topics on nutritional education, and has demonstrated herself as an industry leader-to-watch.
 
Today, Kristina resides in Phoenix, Arizona. Outside of conducting product research and developing her quickly growing company, she enjoys quilting, needlework and is an avid stamp collector.
