With over two decades of experience in the field, Daniah’s work is primarily lab and research based, although she also teaches graduate level students and participates in the planning and administration in the department.

Daniah’s work centers on the human brain, and experimenting with RNA and DNA methodology to analyze the validity of theories on human neurology and genetics. She is highly skilled in molecular biology techniques, immunohistochemistry and scientific writing, and conducted her PhD on the correlation between genetic SNPs and non-SNP variations with gene expression (eQTL) and alternative splicing regulation (sQTL) in control post-mortem human brain tissues.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Daniah completed a Master of Science in Human Molecular Genetics and received her doctorate in Neurogenetics from the University College London. Originally from Saudi Arabia, today she is based in London and is a role model for women in science, medicine and technology.
