The Worldwide Women’s Association Recognizes Tamasin Artru, M. Ed, APHR
Tamasin Artru is an experienced educator with 18 years of experience at the secondary and community college level. She currently works at Spring ISD at Carl Wunsche Career and Technology High School. Her motto is “GRIT is the secret to success”.
Tamasin holds a MS in Multicultural Studies with a focus on ESL from University of Houston Clear Lake and a BA in Geography from University of Texas at Austin. She is currently studying for her second masters in Human Resource Development at Texas A&M University and will graduate in 2023. She looks forward to working with adults and applying her teaching skills to help companies become the best they can be.
She began her love of different cultures and languages especially as an exchange student when she completed a year long overseas study in Belgium where she learned Dutch.
Prior to beginning her career as a teacher, she worked in the field of outdoor education where she taught everything from environmental education to high ropes and rock climbing. Her love of and respect for nature, as well as the ability to face one’s fears, is something that she tries to model and instill in her students-as well as their GRIT stamina.
When she isn’t teaching or studying, she enjoys volunteering with Meals on Wheels and Trees for Houston as well as spending time playing outside with her son and dogs.
