The Worldwide Women’s Association Recognizes Oralia de la Peña-Aguirre
Oralia de la Peña-Aguirre is a full member of the academic staff at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios de Monterrey (ITESM), where she teaches courses in Innovation, Business Models, Strategic Management and Design Thinking, among other subjects. She is passionate about women’s empowerment and how that power can multiply when women get together to share their experience and knowledge.
With more than 30 years of experience in her field, she has been in teaching for the past decade and comes from a background in information systems, management and executive leadership. She holds a PhD in Management, and a Master of Science in Management
Outside of her work at the university, Oralia is Co-Founder of the Autism Association. She enjoys travel and reading, and is a marathon runner, and is mother of four daughters and caregiver to 2 dogs. Looking ahead, she is currently honing her own methodology and working tools, and looks forward to expanding her impact and help for others across the globe. Based in Nuevo León, Mexico, she speaks fluent English and Spanish.
