The Worldwide Women’s Association Recognizes Ginger Gilmour

Ginger Gilmour is a celebrated artist, humanitarian, author and activist. Based in England, she creates works with a vision to touch the heart of communities with beauty and tranquility. She is driven to serve as a force for positivity and to uplift those around her, and is internationally considered a pioneer of the Art of Living through Inner Beauty movement.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, United States, Ginger states she cannot remember a time she did not feel called to pursue beauty and truth in the world. Drawn to the music scene of the 1960s, she met and married guitarist David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), and the two raised a family of four children in the UK. Once living abroad, Ginger undertook study with artist Cecil Collins, who inspired her to cultivate her own uniqueness and expression.

In addition to her art, Ginger is a published author and released the book Memoirs of the Bright Side of The Moon, detailing her trials, tribulations and journey of life with the Gilmour, and then beyond. She is an impassioned humanitarian and advocate, and received the British Red Cross Award for Services to Humanity.

An activist for beauty, Ginger states “I love my life, the good, the bad, the ugly; each experience opening up new doors for me in realizing my worth, my spirituality, and how that applies now to my artistic sensibilities.” She credits her success to accepting life as it is and making it special, and hopes her reflections may inspire others to do the same.
