The Worldwide Women’s Association Recognizes Antoinette Frazier Wiseman


 
Antoinette Frazier Wiseman currently serves as Adjunct Faculty in Education at Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), the largest applied higher educational institution in the United Arab Emirates. Highly skilled in educational theory and methodology, Antoinette has been at HCT for the past 7 years, where she has held numerous departmental leadership positions, including At-Risk Advisor Coordinator and System Course Team Leader, as well as lectured full time. A seasoned Educational Consultant, she has worked for international private and charter schools, and also consults on Special Needs. She chaired the Special Education Committee at HCT Sharjah Women’s Campus, and mentored and evaluated aspiring teachers as part of the Early Childhood Program Practicum.
 
After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Gardner-Webb University, Antoinette went on to complete a Master of Education in Curriculum of Instruction and ESOL at Concordia University. She completed the Teacher Licensure Program at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and holds a Professional Educator’s License by the state of North Carolina, Highly Qualified License in Cross Categorical every spectrum in Special Needs (K 12), and Highly Qualified License in English as A Second Language (K 12). Antoinette is an international teacher and holds the Advance HE Fellow Certificate which gives her the honor to be a teacher fellow.
 
Prior to joining HCT, Antoinette serves as English Language teacher for Early Childhood at the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) in Abu Dhabi. She has assisted, developed, and created several courses and assessments in education, and has conducted Differentiation and Early Literacy workshops under the Ministry of Education in Dubai. In the United States, Antoinette taught for over a decade as a special needs teacher for in North Carolina Public Schools, for students grades K-12. She also served as a Special Needs Consultant for the District of Columbia.
 
Passionate about her work, Antoinette is currently researching the impact of online teaching and learning to ‘Reduce Academic Fatigue and Enhance Retention for the Determine Ones (special needs)’.
