The Worldwide Women’s Association Recognizes Alemtsahaye Girma


 
After over 25 years of service as a Human Resources Advisor with the United Nations Development Program, Alemtsahaye Girma is now retired and works as a consultant.   She served as a global Resources Manager for UNDP and recently worked as a Senior HR Business Partner in the Regional Bureau for Africa, UNDP New York as well as the HR focal point for 45 countries in Africa.
 
Over two decades of experience in HR makes her an expert in the field. She has seen so many changes over the years and has witnessed countless individuals and countries benefit from the development work. She holds interests in mentoring and supporting young talent to gain knowledge and experience and build future careers.   She believes in development work to help humanity in education, health, poverty reduction, crisis prevention and environmental protection and credits her success in her career to perseverance as well as the ability to adapt to change.
 
She resides in New Jersey, USA and enjoys travel in her spare time.
