Biography
I am the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of 1 Million Teachers, a social enterprise addressing the global teacher shortage by attracting, training, and supporting educators in under-resourced communities. Our mission is to transform education systems through scalable digital learning, gender-responsive programming, and global mentorship. I lead partnerships with organizations such as HP Africa, UNICEF, IBM, Sterling Bank, and Queen’s University to develop sustainable education solutions across Africa and Asia. Alongside this work, I serve as an Adjunct Professor at Queen’s University and St. Lawrence College, where I teach courses in entrepreneurship, innovation, and business strategy. I am deeply passionate about equipping future changemakers with practical tools and systems thinking to drive social impact. Each year, I actively participate in Bett London, the world’s largest education technology exhibition, where I engage with global leaders, educators, and edtech innovators to explore emerging trends and strengthen our approach to digital learning and education equity. In addition, I currently lead Iznik, a growing fashion and lifestyle brand, where I manage its digital marketing, e-commerce operations, and global expansion efforts. I focus on developing strategic campaigns, optimizing online visibility, and building a community around culturally rooted, contemporary fashion.
