Biography

Pamela Molina (CHILE-USA) is currently the Executive Director of a US-based non-profit organization 501 (c) (3: Deaf Overcoming Violence through Empowerment (DOVE), whose mission is to support and empower deaf, deafblind, and hard-of-hearing survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Until October 2025, she was the Executive Director of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD), a global non-governmental organization that advocates for the human rights of deaf people. She was directly involved in drafting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and has over 17 years of experience in International Human Rights Law, program and project management, capacity building, and leadership for social transformation, inclusion, and equity. She worked as a specialist for the Rapporteurship on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) and for the Department of Access to Rights of the Organization of American States (OAS). She holds a Master’s in Disability Studies and Human Development from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ms. Molina is a renowned activist from the Global South, an international expert and speaker on disability rights, linguistic rights, and the rights of minority groups, with an intersectional approach. She has also published widely on these topics.
