Natallia Lysakova

I was born in a tiny town in Belarus, went to school and started my tech career in Minsk, the capital, and later continued in New York. My 15+ years of experience in Quality Assurance are divided between traditional roles, like QA Engineer, Software Engineer in Test, Lead QA Engineer, QA Manager, and unique ones: Lead Software Engineer, Test Automation Tools and Delivery Infrastructure, and Developer Experience Manager. These two titles capture my passion when it comes to building software: enabling excellence through fine tuned tools, processing and practices. My other passion is enabling talent. As an Engineering Manager and a female leader in male dominated industry, as an immigrant and a non native English speaker, I embrace growth mindset, see strength in diversity of perspectives and value collaborative work culture. Quality assurance to me means finding impediments, uncovering potential for improvement and smoothing out delivery process. And the same applies to people management: uncovering potential in both an individual and a team, supporting growth and personal and professional development, creating environment where people with different needs, backgrounds and strengths can thrive. This is where I have arrived so far, after 7+ years of leading quality in startups in NYC. Most recently I was with ActionIQ for 3.5 years, where I started as a team of 1 and ended up managing 2.5 teams, 8 people total. I was also organizing company wide hackathons, running lunch&learn initiative, participating in women's work group, advocating for DEI focused hiring and starting office book exchange. It's been a very inspiring journey, but it's time for a new chapter in my career. I am open to opportunities.
