Mireya Ribas

Born in Havana, Cuba and arrived in the USA at age 6; therefore, bilingual in English and Spanish. Came with parents and 1 sister, later 2 were born in the USA. Studied Psychology and Spanish at Emory University with an Academic Scholarship, transferred to Georgia Institute of Technology, and then to The University of Texas at Austin. Graduated with Honors. Went to Europe and returned to U.T. Austin for graduate school in Business and Spanish. Worked in the Psychiatric field with children, adolescents, and adults with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Also, taught Spanish at the University of Houston, as well as Houston Community College (HCC). After that, taught English as a Second Language at HCC for 6 years and 10.5 years at Interactive College of Technology. Graduated from the University of Phoenix with an MBA, with a specialty in Marketing in 2005. After graduate school, I started my Marketing business in Houston, helping doctors and their clinics to grow in revenue and expand. Also, had MRI and CT Centers as clients. The Marketing business is called MMC. Presently, working with GFI (Global Financial Impact). It is very rewarding to help families to become more financially secure and to reach their goals and dreams.
