Biography
Hi, I’m Sherri Moore. With 13 years of experience as a professional Social Worker, I am dedicated to helping individuals, families, and children navigate life’s most difficult seasons. I provide behavioral health support to children and adults alike, drawing on my extensive experience in psychotherapy, case management and home-based therapy services. Throughout my career, I have maintained active membership in professional organizations, including the National Association of Social Workers and the Indiana School Social Work Association. These affiliations have provided valuable opportunities for professional development and collaboration within the field. I was also recently inducted and honored in Marquis Who's Who in America for my position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field of social work. My academic background includes a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville, completed in 2013, and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Indiana University Southeast. I hold dual licensures as a school social worker with the Department of Education and as a licensed clinical social worker in behavioral health. As an LCSW, I do private practice in the evenings and weekends to provide therapy services to clients, via telehealth or in-person. I also work in the school system with students addressing school-related issues. Reflecting on my career, I believe my compassion has been central to my success, a quality I attribute to both personal conviction and faith. Born in Columbus, Indiana, I enjoy spending time with my three children and nine grandchildren outside of work. Looking ahead, I am focused on expanding my private practice and remain energized by my mission to impact lives through mental health advocacy and support. I am dedicated to reducing stigma around mental health issues and encouraging others to recognize that seeking help is both necessary and acceptable.
