Biography
Nan Robinson is a Nurse Manager and Process Improvement Manager with a national workers’ compensation case management organization, specializing in nursing leadership, education, and organizational improvement. A Registered Nurse and Certified Case Manager, Nan leads remote nursing teams, mentors supervisors and emerging leaders, develops educational programs, and supports process improvements that benefit employees and the organization. Nan’s career spans roles in nursing, management, education, and organizational development. Her work has included creating educational and training programs, mentoring nurses into leadership positions, and translating opportunities for improvement into practical, sustainable solutions. She places particular value on helping others build confidence, recognize their strengths, and develop the skills needed to take on greater responsibility. In 2026, Nan earned a Doctor of Education in Ethical Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University, completing the program with a 4.0 GPA. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of St. Francis, where she graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. Her doctoral studies strengthened her approach to leadership and reinforced her emphasis on integrity, fairness, and accountability in decision-making. Nan’s leadership philosophy combines clear expectations and accountability with guidance, support, and opportunities for independent growth. She views thoughtful questions, sound judgment, and the development of others as central responsibilities of a leader. Lifelong learning remains a consistent theme in her professional work and continuing goals. Her honors include the State of Illinois Volunteer of the Year Award, recognizing her work rewriting an adolescent chemical-dependency education program that was implemented statewide for incarcerated youth. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and Phi Theta Kappa, and her submitted distinctions also include invitation-only recognition from the National Society of Leadership and Success. Nan is now expanding her professional interests into higher education and authorship. She is pursuing opportunities to teach nursing remotely at the collegiate level and developing a series of practical leadership books for new and emerging nurse leaders. These goals build on her experience in nursing leadership, mentoring, and education, with an emphasis on sharing both formal learning and lessons gained through professional practice.
