Biography

Meghan Clements Zaklin, MSN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the owner of ECS Wellness, where she leads clinical care centered on the endocannabinoid system (ECS) and medical cannabis. Her path into medicine began in the lab. She earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from Merrimack College, where she was inducted into Sigma Xi, The Scientific Honor Society, before completing her Master of Science in Nursing at Simmons University and joining Sigma Theta Tau, the Honor Society of Nursing. That scientific foundation shapes how she practices: she approaches cannabinoid therapy through the lens of pharmacology, patient safety and outcomes, not hype. At ECS Wellness, which serves patients in Massachusetts and Maine, Meghan also serves as Chief of Quality and Safety, setting the clinical standards for how cannabinoid care is assessed, dosed, monitored and documented. She treats a wide range of patients, from those adding cannabis to a wellness routine alongside lifestyle medicine, to patients navigating cancer who need support with nausea, appetite, pain, sleep and anxiety, to people living with complex chronic conditions that affect multiple body systems. For Meghan, the endocannabinoid system ties together symptoms that medicine too often treats in separate clinical silos. As a speaker and educator, Meghan works to close the knowledge gap on the endocannabinoid system, a body system most clinicians never formally studied. She has presented to clinicians at the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners Annual Conference, Harvard Medical School's Neurogastroenterology and Motility course, a hospice and palliative care conference, and grand rounds within Mass General Brigham. She also speaks to broader audiences at Elevate Her, the International Women's Cannabis Conference and the Healthcare Visibility Mastermind. She extends that education online through patient webinars, including a presentation for adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients, available with her International Women's Cannabis Conference talk on her YouTube channel. She was also featured on the series Let's Talk About Cannabis in Healthcare alongside respected colleagues in the field. She is available for keynotes, clinician training and panels on medical cannabis, the ECS, and building safe, high-quality cannabinoid care.
