Biography
LaTrece R. Johnson is a legal operations leader, community builder, and co-founder of two communities changing who gets seen, supported, and promoted in legal operations: the Black Legal Operations Community (BLOC) and Revlis Legal. LaTrece has more than a decade in legal operations, after starting her career in financial services. She has built and led legal operations functions at some of the world's best-known technology and retail companies. Most recently, she served as Director, Head of Legal Operations at Palo Alto Networks. There she oversaw a $146 million legal budget and led the legal operations workstream for the company's acquisition of CyberArk. She also built the legal department's AI strategy, including pilots of generative AI and contract intelligence tools. Before that, she led legal operations and finance at Ross Stores and served as Head of Legal Operations Education & Content at CLOC (the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium). She also spent four years as Legal Operations Manager at Adobe. Her expertise spans outside counsel management, contract management, legal financial management, process improvement, and AI adoption. What drives LaTrece most is community. She believes careers are built in rooms where people know your name, and she has spent years building those rooms for others. As co-founder of BLOC, she helped grow a global network of more than 500 legal operations professionals. Its members work in-house, at legal technology and service providers, in education, and in law school, and BLOC centers connection, visibility, and advancement for Black professionals in a field where they are too often the only one in the room. As co-founder of Revlis Legal, she created The Revlis Summit, an invitation-only gathering for senior women in legal operations. Revlis is built on candor, not polish. Its sessions hold real conversations about money, visibility, the things women don't say at work, and what comes next. They are paired with hands-on learning that helps women become AI leaders instead of being left behind. After its inaugural Flagship Summit in the San Francisco Bay Area in October 2026, Revlis expands to Los Angeles in February 2027, followed by New York, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Seattle. LaTrece also serves as a 2026 regional co-lead for CLOC Southern California. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Finance from San Jose State University and is based in Los Angeles. Years of Experience: Pick the bracket that covers 15+ years if it counts your whole career (since 2008). Pick 10+ if it means legal ops only.
