My career has been built on hard work, hands-on experience, and a commitment to learning every aspect of the businesses I have been part of. I earned my bookkeeping certificate in 1988 and began my career working my way up from the ground floor in medical billing for radiologists at a local hospital. From there, I expanded my experience through billing services and orthopedic practices, eventually becoming an administrator for a primary care physician and nurse practitioner. For 24 years, I managed the practice and performed virtually every aspect of its operations, including full-service medical billing, until the physician retired. Alongside my medical billing career, I also managed the bookkeeping for my father's per diem home health business and my husband's trucking business. These experiences gave me a strong understanding of both healthcare and small-business operations and the importance of accurate, organized financial records. Today, while continuing to work in medical billing, I have taken the next step in my career by opening my own bookkeeping business, BIG DOG BOOKKEEPING, LLC. I am working toward becoming my own boss and building a business where I can use my years of experience to help small businesses better understand their finances, stay organized, and grow with confidence.
