Dolly Mnayarji is the Founder and CEO of A La Carte Business Advisors, a virtual bookkeeping and financial advisory firm specializing in restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and other food-based businesses. With more than 20 years of experience in accounting, payroll tax, bookkeeping, and financial operations, Dolly is passionate about helping business owners gain financial clarity, increase profitability, and build businesses that support the lives they envision. Her entrepreneurial journey began with one of the most important decisions of her life. In November 2018, after welcoming her son earlier that year, Dolly made the difficult choice to leave the comfort and stability of her corporate career. While she had built a successful career in payroll tax and accounting, balancing the demands of a full-time corporate position with the responsibilities of being a new mother proved challenging. Between the long workdays, endless responsibilities, and the desire to be more present during her son's early years, she knew something needed to change. Rather than immediately jumping into another career, Dolly took time during the holiday season to reflect on what she truly wanted for her family's future. She began researching careers that would allow her to work from home while still utilizing her financial background. Throughout her research, one profession consistently stood out: virtual bookkeeping. It offered the flexibility she was seeking while allowing her to continue doing work she genuinely enjoyed. Determined to build something meaningful, Dolly enrolled in a comprehensive program that not only taught advanced bookkeeping but also provided the tools to launch and grow a successful virtual bookkeeping business. Combining her years of corporate accounting experience with entrepreneurial training, she founded Bookkeeping Towne in 2019 with a vision of helping small business owners better understand the financial side of their businesses. As her business evolved, so did her vision. Dolly found herself naturally drawn to serving restaurant owners, coffee shop operators, bars, and other hospitality businesses—entrepreneurs who work tirelessly behind the scenes to serve others while often putting their own financial needs last. Recognizing the opportunity to better align her brand with the industry she had grown to love, she rebranded the company as A La Carte Business Advisors in 2024. The new name reflected not only her niche but also the firm's evolution from a bookkeeping company into a trusted financial advisory partner focused on profitability, strategy, and long-term business success. Today, Dolly works alongside business owners to simplify their finances, improve profitability, strengthen cash flow, and provide the financial insight needed to make confident decisions. She believes bookkeeping is far more than recording transactions—it's the foundation of every successful business. Her approach combines technical expertise with education, ensuring clients not only receive accurate financial records but also understand what those numbers mean for the future of their businesses. Committed to lifelong learning, Dolly continues to expand her expertise and is currently advancing her knowledge in CFO Advisory services. Her goal is to provide growing businesses with executive-level financial guidance through budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, strategic planning, and long-term financial leadership. Originally from Rhode Island, Dolly relocated to North Carolina in 2025 to begin a new chapter centered on family, opportunity, and personal growth. Her experiences as a single mother, entrepreneur, and business owner have strengthened her resilience and reinforced her belief that success is measured not only by financial achievement but also by the freedom to design a life that reflects one's values. Looking back, Dolly realizes that the freedom she was searching for when she left corporate America became the very foundation of the business she would eventually build. She believes financial clarity creates freedom—the freedom to spend more time with family, make confident business decisions, sleep better at night, pursue new opportunities, and build a business that supports the life its owner truly wants to live. Outside of her professional life, Dolly enjoys jogging, playing basketball, spending time at the beach, traveling, reading personal development and business books, and creating lasting memories with her son.
