Through Intuitive PMM, Megan Floyd combines buyer-centered product marketing with thoughtful coverage during leave, hiring transitions, and other team gaps.

For B2B technology companies, a product launch or market shift can expose a difficult gap: having a strong offering does not automatically mean buyers will understand its value. Product marketing strategist Megan Floyd works at that intersection, helping companies learn what matters to their buyers and translate those insights into positioning, messaging, launches, campaigns, and sales tools.

With more than 15 years of experience, Megan has worked across education technology, SaaS, healthtech, fintech, and sales technology. Her background includes both in-house product marketing roles and consulting engagements, giving her experience with companies at different stages of growth. The common thread is a focus on connecting market understanding with work that teams can put into practice.

Starting with the buyer

Megan’s approach begins with buyer needs and decision-making. Customer and competitive research can help clarify not only what a company wants to say, but also what its audience needs to understand. Those findings can then shape positioning, messaging, launch plans, account-based marketing campaigns, sales enablement programs, and broader go-to-market efforts.

This work crosses traditional departmental boundaries. Megan partners with product, sales, customer success, and marketing teams, bringing their perspectives into a shared product marketing foundation. That collaboration matters because positioning is not useful if it remains isolated in a strategy document. It must be clear enough to guide campaigns, support customer conversations, and help internal teams explain why a product is relevant.

Her engagements have included launching products, refining market positioning, navigating platform shifts, and building go-to-market programs. Rather than treating strategy and execution as separate disciplines, Megan links them: research informs the story, and the story becomes a set of practical resources that teams can use.

Building Intuitive PMM around sustainable support

In 2020, Megan founded Intuitive PMM to offer experienced, hands-on product marketing support. She later partnered with Jinzi Feng, a CFA-credentialed fintech product marketer and go-to-market strategist. The partnership expanded the firm’s work in financial services technology while bringing complementary experience to its client engagements.

Together, Megan and Jinzi have supported more than 25 B2B technology companies, including Seismic, Rhapsody Health, Learning A-Z, Arcesium, and MindPlay. The work reflects a flexible agency model designed to meet companies where they are, whether they need help with a defined initiative or broader product marketing coverage.

Megan’s vision for Intuitive PMM also emphasizes compassion, empathy, and sustainability. For her, a human-centered agency is not only about understanding buyers. It is also about recognizing the realities faced by the people doing the work and designing support that responds to those circumstances.

Maintaining momentum through team transitions

One expression of that approach is fractional product marketing coverage during maternity or FMLA leave, hiring transitions, and other team gaps. These periods can create immediate operational needs. Existing plans still require attention, cross-functional partners still need guidance, and product marketing knowledge must remain accessible even when a role is temporarily open.

Across more than 12 engagements, Megan and Jinzi have provided coverage for responsibilities ranging from individual contributor through vice president. Their role is not limited to keeping assignments moving. They also help establish tools and processes that teams can continue using, supporting continuity after the engagement ends.

This model brings a practical dimension to empathy. Thoughtful interim coverage can respect an employee’s need to step away while helping colleagues maintain focus. It can also give a company time to manage a hiring transition without leaving essential product marketing work unattended.

Creating room for flexible consulting careers

Megan is also shaping Intuitive PMM with another form of sustainability in mind: creating flexible opportunities for more women to build meaningful consulting careers. That goal connects the agency’s internal model with the same care it aims to bring to client relationships.

The result is an approach grounded in both business needs and human realities. By beginning with buyer understanding, translating strategy into usable tools, and offering adaptable support during periods of change, Megan is building Intuitive PMM around a clear idea: effective product marketing can be rigorous, practical, and compassionate at the same time.
