Lee Etta Smith

Abbrev. BIO: Rev. Dr. Lee Smith, affectionately known as Evangelist or simply Sister Lee, born and raised in Faison, NC, is the youngest of five siblings. Her father, Reverend Ralph J. Smith, Sr. (98) still resides in the family-home located in Faison, NC. Her mother, Mother Rosa L. Smith (92) now resides with her due to health reasons. Praises and Glory to God for their continued health and walk with the Lord! Dr. Smith graduated in 1983 with a BA in Visual Communications and later a MA in Educational Media in 1986 from NCCU. She received a MS in Information Science from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2009 and obtained her Doctorate of Theology from NC College of Theology, Carolina Beach NC in June, 2017. Instructional Designer and Communicator by profession and passions, she worked at Duke Univ. Medical Center in Durham, NC for nearly 13 years and UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing, Chapel Hill, NC almost 18 years. She was also employed by a couple other companies over the years. Through God’s gifting and education she created her business, Trinity Graphic Dezigns & Consulting. She has proudly professionally designed several book covers, illustrated eight children’s books available for purchase online and in commercial book stores, as well as. completed many other projects for friends, churches, schools and businesses. Called to Kingdom Ministry in 1986 and originally licensed as a Minister of the Gospel by the United Holy Church of America, she was ordained in 1991 as Evangelist by Dr. Tessie M. Jones, then Founder and Pastor of New MT. Temple Tabernacle Church (NMTT), Durham, NC. She still serves faithfully in the rebirthed establishment of (NMTT) Refiner’s Fire Community Church of Durham, NC under Bishop Willie L. Jones II and Lady Gloria Jones. One Scripture that best describes her life and ministry is Philippians 1:6 "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will continue to perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”
