For many people, receiving a notice from a tax agency can turn an ordinary day into a stressful one. The language may be unfamiliar, the requested next steps may seem unclear, and the recipient may not know where to begin. Esther Nysenbaum has built an accounting career around helping clients move from that initial uncertainty toward a clearer understanding of the issue in front of them.

With more than 11 years of experience in accounting and tax services, including the past three years as an Enrolled Agent, Esther focuses on tax preparation, tax compliance, and assistance with IRS and state tax notices. She recently carried that experience into a new professional chapter by opening EEN Accounting and Tax Resolution LLC, her own accounting firm serving individuals and small businesses.

Making complicated information easier to understand

A central part of Esther’s work is reviewing tax notices and explaining their contents in accessible terms. Rather than allowing technical language to dominate the conversation, she aims to help each client understand what a notice concerns and consider practical ways to address it. That emphasis on explanation reflects her belief that clients should feel heard, supported, and informed when dealing with important tax matters.

The work requires attention to both the details of a document and the individual circumstances surrounding it. A notice can create confusion even before a client has determined what it means. By taking time to review the situation and communicate clearly, Esther works to make the experience more manageable. Finding that path—from uncertainty to a better grasp of the matter—is one of the most rewarding aspects of her profession.

Her broader areas of focus include individual and small-business tax responsibilities, tax filing, and compliance. Her experience includes work involving Forms 1040, 1065, and 1120-S, as well as Lacerte and QuickBooks. Across these different responsibilities, the connecting theme is a commitment to helping clients approach accounting and tax needs with greater confidence and less stress.

Building a firm around personal service

Opening EEN Accounting and Tax Resolution LLC marked a meaningful step in Esther’s career. Independent practice gives her an opportunity to work directly with clients and shape the service experience around personal attention, reliability, and professional communication. It also allows her to pursue the part of accounting work she finds especially fulfilling: developing trusted relationships while helping people address concerns that may otherwise feel overwhelming.

For Esther, personalized service begins with understanding the client’s specific situation. An individual preparing a tax return may have different questions from a small-business owner managing ongoing responsibilities. Someone holding a government notice may need help identifying the issue before thinking about possible next steps. Her approach centers on listening, explaining the relevant information, and working with the client toward a practical response.

This client-focused model also informs the types of professional relationships Esther hopes to develop as her firm grows. She is particularly interested in connecting with small-business owners and individuals seeking support with their accounting and tax needs. The goal is not simply to complete an isolated task, but to establish relationships grounded in trust, integrity, and dependable service.

A new chapter rooted in established experience

Running her own firm brings together several strands of Esther’s professional background. Her years in accounting provide a foundation for tax preparation and compliance work, while her experience as an Enrolled Agent supports her focus on IRS representation and tax notices. Just as importantly, her interest in clear client communication shapes how those technical skills are put into practice.

The transition to firm ownership is both an independent step and a continuation of work Esther has valued throughout her career. She can now bring her priorities—personalized attention, understandable explanations, and practical problem-solving—into every aspect of the client relationship. The firm creates a setting where she can help clients manage immediate concerns while also becoming a reliable professional resource for their continuing needs.

Tax and accounting matters can carry significant emotional weight, particularly when a client is unsure what a notice means or how to respond. Esther’s work is grounded in making those moments clearer and more approachable. Through EEN Accounting and Tax Resolution LLC, she is building a practice that reflects a straightforward mission: help individuals and small businesses better understand their tax concerns, navigate challenges, and feel supported throughout the process.
