Lillith has over 20 years of experience as an architect, and has had her company for over 10 years- Caribbean Architects & Planners. Her day to day role includes the preparation of building design plans and project writing, along with EIA preparation, project management and review. She also reviews land usage and executes development planning.
Looking back, what prompted Lilith to go into architecture was a childhood passion for building. She started doing drafting with a friend at around 18, and through the advice of counselors at the University of the Virgin Islands St. Thomas, she left to study architecture and pursued her dreams.
Today, Caribbean Architects and Planners is a thriving company she takes great pride in. It is an efficient professional entity offering services in Architecture design, Project management, and Land management, which includes environmental impact assessments, property appraisal, and land use planning. As Director, Lillith has spent several years as a Public Servant in St. Kitts and Nevis, and has firsthand knowledge of regional and national land development policies, that relates to tourism, coastal development, housing, and environmental conservation.
As a company engendered by the growing development of small islands such as Nevis and their genuine need for the promulgation of professional standards; Caribbean Architects and Planners incorporates a collaborative approach by partnering with other local and regional agencies to improve capacity. In doing so Caribbean Architects & Planners provide technical services that are rooted in regional and international standards for the building industry and land development.
Lillith holds a Masters Degree in Planning Studies from Oxford Brooks University, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from City University of New York. Looking ahead in the coming years, Lilith plans to retire from government services and dedicate herself solely to her business. She would also eventually like to expand her horizons and work outside of the Caribbean, working more in developing countries. She attributes her success to her grandmother and the way she was raised with such discipline. She enjoys reading, walking, and yoga in her spare time.
