Ms. Branch assumed her role as Project Consultant at the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) in March 2017. As a Project Consultant her day to day responsibilities include partnering with relevant government officials and entities to build relationships and enhance public transit in CTA’s service areas and work with non-profit and community organizations. She also consults with clients, determine business needs, provide improvement solutions, and offer support to project teams and contractors. Her expertise demonstrates excellence in communication and interpersonal skill; attention to details, and teamwork. Additionally, Ms. Branch serves as a liaison between CTA’s suburban municipalities and the agency. She builds awareness and support of CTA’s initiatives with community stakeholders, attend community meetings and provides various outreach duties.
 
Prior to her current role, Ms. Branch served eight years in the federal government working under former President Barack Obama in both 2008 and 2012 administrations. she was the Director of Special Projects and Special Assistant to the Senior Adviser to the President, Valerie B. Jarrett. In this role she oversaw and executed a variety of projects designed to support Ms. Jarrett in her roles as head of the Offices of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs and as Chair of the White House Council on Women and Girls.
 
Ms. Branch has been a key member in her department, where she played a vital part in its work to promote the President’s agenda. At the end of President Barack Obama’s administration, she returned home to a local government agency to continue her work as a public servant.
Ms. Branch chose to be a part of the Worldwide Women’s Association because she has the mind-set of offering support and encouragement to people and to help them reach their full potential. She is always willing to assist in the growth, learning and building of respect in other individuals which aids in developing confidence in themselves. Ms. Branch shares her story with other women to encourages them on ways to overcome challenges.
Ms. Branch overcame several obstacles including being seriously ill and desires to let others know that success is possible if we put in the hard work despite the challenges. Ms. Branch is an outgoing, energetic and curious person. Her energy is drawn by being in the company of others and she seeks social connections and leadership opportunities.
 
Ms. Branch served as the Grand Marshall at the 2016 Bud Billiken Parade in her home town of Chicago; was featured in an article in Essence Magazine titled 29 Powerful Black Women of the White House (2015) and BET Mothers of the White House (2012). Ms. Branch holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from University of Phoenix (2018), a Bachelors of Science in Management Degree from University of Phoenix (2012) and a Foreign Policy Certification from Georgetown University (2012). She enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, who is seven.

Dr. Hayat Khogali is currently the Supervisor of the Expanded Program on Immunization for the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar.  She is a Public Health Consultant, holds a doctoral degree in community medicine / public health and is a Medical Epidemiologist with a Masters in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.

Dr. Khogali has worked in many different positions, having more than ten years of progressive experience in the field of public health with focus on communicable disease surveillance, outbreak investigation and control, and a special interest on vaccine preventable diseases. She also has expertise in Humanitarian Emergency & Response, Implementation of IHR core capacities, immunization programs, HIV/AIDS, planning, monitoring and evaluation. She worked with Sudan FMOH as a Head of the National Epidemiology & Zoonotic Disease Program, and is a known leader in the health community, serving on numerous initiatives designed to improve public health outcomes.

Throughout her career, Dr. Khogali has worked to develop strategies and solutions that will make a difference in public health. She addresses challenges in innovative ways that will help improve the health of citizens on a global scale.

Dr. Khogali believes in multi-disciplinary, multi- cultural teams, which value the coordination and collaboration between different sectors. She made remarkable efforts in implementing efficient and effective coordination activities between different parties in regards to IHR, One Health Concepts, and Integrated Surveillance. She is diligent in keeping up with the latest research in the field of public health, as well as knowledge transfer.

Public health is complex and multi-dimensional. With a global vision, Dr. Khogali continues to conduct research, contributing to environments and conditions for health strategies around the world. Well known for her leadership, research, and commitment to continuous learning and advancement in her profession, she looks forward to networking and collaborating with like-minded professionals.  She speaks fluent English, Arabic and some French, and enjoys reading, dancing and networking in her spare time. She resides in Qatar, where she remains dedicated to the field of public health.

Carolyn is an industrial engineer with over 15 years experience.  She is currently working at Alcaldía de Barranquilla, in a successful career as an Industrial Engineer.  Her work focuses on helping people to coordinate their activities within the production process.  She enjoys it immensely and embraces the opportunity to work in a social area, assisting communities of workers as the navigate difficult tasks and transitions.  She has over 10 years of experience at the management level in quality assurance.

Carolyn will complete her Master’s of Business Management and Commercial Business next September at Universidad de Norte.  She credits discipline, hard work, and lots of studying as the keys to her success.  In her personal time, she enjoys to go to the beach, the movies, the gym, and take courses online in literature and language. She resides in Colombia.

Mariana Santacreu Hofland is the CEO of Yoga City in Amsterdam. With over 30 years of experience in her career, Mariana is best known for her expertise in martial arts, ballet and yoga. In her current role, she is responsible for teaching women physical and mental strength using diverse techniques in yoga, martial arts, etc.

Born in Spain, Mariana came from a feminist home where she was taught the strength of a woman through building and creating platforms. Following the completion of her Bachelor’s degree, Mariana went on to receive a Master’s degree in Dance from the International Dance Academy in 1987.

In the next three to five years, Mariana would like to have her own empowered women’s network and she is also looking to organize larger workshops. She attributes her success to her hard work and the passion she has for her work. Mariana is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and continuing to learn and grow in her profession.

Beverly A. Baddley is a Professional Service Coordinator at Alpha Phi Alpha Homes Inc., a housing development company that partners with HUD to provide housing and social services to the tenants.  With over twenty years of experience in the social services field, she is best known for her expertise in assisting individuals access necessary social services to live healthy, independently and age at home; problem solving with individuals about their concerns and encouraging individuals to improve their conditions.  Beverly joined Alpha Phi Alpha Homes, Inc. in 2017 and is responsible for various tasks which includes assisting the tenants with health insurance, food stamps, other benefits, completing assessments and overseeing education/wellness workshops.

Beverly has an associate’s degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.  While studying for her bachelor’s degree, Beverly volunteered at a pregnancy crisis center, as well as separately becoming a certified conflict coach and mediator through The Peacemaker Ministries and The Peacemaking Network of NE Ohio.  A future goal is to complete her master’s degree in counseling/public health administration.  She would also like to continue working at Alpha Phi Alpha Homes, Inc. and eventually add working part-time at a local agency or hospital.

Beverly enjoys walking, hiking, reading and watching movies.  She credits her accomplishments to her perseverance and resilience, but most of all to her faith and inner circle of support.  Beverly is looking forward to continue making a difference wherever she is planted.
