Barbara Sweet, a Creative Director and entrepreneur specializing in luxury accessories,
proudly shares her newest endeavor—Harmin—a collection of buttery soft yet extremely
durable leather bags, ranging from wallets and pouches to duffels and totes. This
collection speaks to the ethos of quiet luxury, proudly boasting clean, streamlined
designs with no outward-facing logos, while showcasing quality that exceeds most
high-end offerings in the market today. Barbara has built notoriety in the industry from
her many collaborations with luxury fashion houses, independent designers, and major
international brands, bringing nascent ideas to life with precision and flair.

A Vision of Elegance and Functionality
Harmin, a portmanteau of Barbara’s family names, represents a collection of
gender-neutral, timeless bags designed for real life, not just the runway. Barbara’s vision
for Harmin is to create pieces that resonate with the paradigmatic shift towards
casual-chic, ensuring that every item is as functional as it is stylish.

“Having been in the business for quite some time, I set out to create a collection of
gender-neutral, timeless bags that could work for everyone—in real life —that speaks to
the shift towards casual-chic. And by work, I mean REALLY work,” says Barbara.
“That’s why all of our pieces are made in the finest small workshops in Italy from only
the highest quality materials. They are then wear-tested tirelessly to ensure they can
live up to admittedly very high standards.”

Craftsmanship and Quality
Harmin’s bags are crafted in Italy by artisans who work in family owned & operated
workshops, ensuring each piece is in the best quality it can be using materials that
ensure the bags are lightweight, durable, secure, and equipped with high tech
washable linings. These deceptively small designs can hold more than meets the eye,
all while maintaining a quiet, simple, and modern silhouette that allows individual style
to shine.

Living Life to the Fullest
Barbarat’s passion for life is reflected in her work and personal philosophy. “The longer I
live, the more I learn to accept that we simply never know what lies ahead and that each
moment is truly a gift that should be honored by living it to its fullest potential. This is
why I always try to show up being the best I can be — whether that means being
present and focused, laughing so hard I cry, or putting a little extra effort into looking
fabulous— I do work in the fashion industry, after all.”

Global Presence
Barbara divides her time between New York City, where her son and family reside;
Paris, where her daughter and family reside; and Italy, where the Harmin leather
collection comes to life.
