Carolyne Schwenke: Entrepreneur and Global Business Strategist With over 40 years of entrepreneurial experience, Carolyne Schwenke is a highly accomplished businesswoman hailing from New Zealand, specifically Hawkes Bay. Her remarkable journey encompasses co-owning successful ventures across New Zealand, Australia, China, and the United States, illustrating her adaptability and proficiency in various industries. Professional Achievements: In her expansive career, Carolyne has garnered more than 25 years of top-level management and product sourcing expertise. Her notable achievements include coordinating and delivering millions of dollars worth of China-manufactured products for businesses worldwide. In 2007, she achieved a significant milestone by obtaining a unique 20-year Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE) business license from the Chinese government. This license granted her the authority to conduct business in seven diverse sectors, including International Trade, Financial Investments, Environmental Management, Immigration, Education, Technology, and Travel. Carolyne has distinguished herself as a skilled "relationship broker," specializing in merging business interests from various countries for the benefit of foreign companies globally. Her entrepreneurial spirit, combined with her unique blend of skills, has led to the success of her ventures across borders. She is currently commencing study for her Bachelor of Applied Management at BYU Worldwide online to obtain her BA. Entrepreneurial Journey: Carolyne's journey began with humble origins, being urged to finish school at 14 to support her Polynesian parents and 10 siblings. These early experiences instilled in her invaluable lessons about the value of work, business, money, and responsibility. Starting as a young mother in the early '80s, Carolyne co-owned her first business growing Carnation flowers and arranging them into bouquets for sale. This was followed by ventures in the rag trade, a fruit and vegetable shop, and eventually a successful private school bus company. Her tenacity and innovative thinking led her to approach the owner of one of New Zealand’s largest coach transportation companies, Bernard Pavlovich, for mentorship, ultimately propelling her bus business to significant success. Carolyne's foray into the world of product sourcing and international business came later, with a focus on managing educational Visa applications for Chinese students and providing full-service product sourcing from China. Her business acumen and dedication led to the establishment of a thriving enterprise in Jiangsu Province, China. Global Sourcing Expeditions LLC: Today, Carolyne's passion for empowering women entrepreneurs drives her latest venture, Global Sourcing Expeditions LLC. This U.S.-based startup provides exclusive 10-day product sourcing trips to India, Vietnam, and China for women entrepreneurs and business owners.
