Althea Dawkins

Althea Simone Dawkins, JP is the Managing Director of Blue Mountain Bicycle Tours Ltd. She serves in the capacity of Treasurer for Association of Jamaica Attractions Ltd (AJAL), for twelve (12 ) years , 1st Vice President for AJAL for four (4 ) years and is a member of the St. Ann Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Dawkins was the President of the Rotary Club of Ocho Rios East 2017/2018. Blue Mountain Bicycle Tours Limited continues to make great strides in tourism with Althea Dawkins as captain of the ship. In November 2006 Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo) awarded the said company for consistency in operational standards over the period of 2001 to 2006. In the same year, Jamaica Association of Administrative Professionals (JAAP) formerly Jamaica Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals(JASAP) honoured Mrs. Dawkins as Boss of the Year for the St. Ann . In May 2011, St. Ann Chamber of Commerce presented the Tourism Award to Blue Mountain Bicycle Tours Limited in recognition for dedicated contribution to the field of tourism. Mrs. Dawkins was awarded in 2013, Regional Winner for National Commercial Bank’s (NCB) Nation Builder ‘s Award for Women in Business . She was also assigned Justice of the Peace for St. Ann, November 25, 2016. Althea is now a board member with FIB Academy USA. Althea’s greatest fulfillment comes from assisting those in need especially homeless children, which she undertakes both locally and internationally. She never ceased to positively influence the life of those who come in contact with her. Mrs Dawkins is married with five (5) boys and a niece that I adored. After a hectic day, she craves for her family and enjoys spending quality time with them at or away from home.
