Addie Larmi

I was born in Cincinnati in 1980. I graduated Kings high school in Kings Mills Ohio in 1999. I went to one year of school at the University of Montana in Missoula. Then I went to one year of school at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, Colorado then I started off at kroger‘s in Loveland, Ohio Started as a bagger, then cashier and working in the gas station. After that I was promoted in the meat department where I closed the department down, filled shelves, Work to lunch meat, bacon, etc. then I started wrapping meat. Then I was seen working hard. I was seen by the vice president of merchandising a lady that I ended up looking up to named Sakanya Madlinger which is now the president of the Cincinnati Dayton division for Kroger,and she asked me what my position was and I told her I wanted to move up and then within a month I had a different meat manager, when she was another lady, I looked up to named Marla Fisher and she told me that she was there to make sure that I knew how to cut by the time she left which I did. When I did my meat cutter training, I had a class and I taught my meat merchandiser how to do CAO, we stood for computer assisted ordering he wasn’t 100% sure on it and then he would introduce me as the person that taught it to him. He also gave me questions on the meat cutter test, and I knew all those so he started asking me harder questions and I knew most of those as well. Those were actually the meat Manager questions after I got promoted to meat cutter. About six months later, I was promoted to Assistant meat Manager. Where I was for about two years working at all kinds of different stores then I finally got promoted to meat Manager. Which I did for five years at Kroger then I tried a new career as a yoga instructor and fitness instructor teaching at studios, clubs, gyms, and non profits tried that for a year so I was struggling on paying bills so I went back to work at Meijer cutting meat, which I did for two years. Meijer asked me twice if I wanted to go into the Manager program. I denied it because I knew I was moving to Oregon where I started working at Safeway in Junction city Oregon. I drove an hour to work and back each day for two years then when an opening opened up, I interviewed for it, didn’t get that job but when the next one opened up, in Springfield, Oregon, which was about 40 minutes from my houseI did I was there for a couple years in increasing sales by about 15% then I was moved to a bigger store. Then I got promoted again to a bigger store which I helped increase sales by about 30% and that was the closest store to my house which my commute now was 30 minutes back-and-forth the Thurston, Oregon store where I work at is the biggest store in the Springfield Eugene area where I have been for a little longer than four years, where I am currently at now. I have a sheet with many awards throughout the years for selling product selling the most of land of Frost lunch meats, winning three bikes, giving the kids bike to my Assistant meat Manager for his daughter. Was awarded a cash reward for selling the most bulk chicken compared to sales the previous year sold the most of another product that they were tracking and always on Fridays we have a Friday sale only and we always sell the most of the meat item in the district a lot of times.
