Mariel Villanueva is an Assurance Senior Manager with more than 13 years of experience in public accounting and assurance services. She provides audit, technical accounting, and financial reporting services to both public and private companies, with particular expertise in technology, SaaS, biotechnology, and life sciences organizations.
Throughout her career, Mariel has helped companies navigate complex accounting matters and financial reporting requirements. Her areas of expertise include revenue recognition, business combinations, stock-based compensation, debt and equity transactions, SEC reporting, and internal controls. She brings a detailed understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research to engagements involving complex transactions and evolving financial reporting considerations.
Mariel works closely with executive leadership teams, CFOs, Controllers, finance leaders, and audit committees, helping organizations address technical accounting questions while supporting accurate, high-quality financial reporting.
