Valerie Price is a Compliance Examiner Business Lead within the Counterparty Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) group at Freddie Mac, where she supports scoping activities, process improvements, and data-driven reporting initiatives. In her role, she works closely with cross-functional teams, including Salesforce and technology partners, to implement updates, enhance workflows, and support dashboard and reporting capabilities. Valerie brings approximately 30 years of experience in mortgage servicing, default operations, and risk management. Her background includes leadership roles across multiple institutions, including Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, Carrington, and ServiceMac, where she was responsible for building and scaling default servicing functions, developing policies and procedures, and implementing operational controls to meet investor and regulatory requirements. Throughout her career, Valerie has led initiatives focused on process design, technology implementation, and operational risk mitigation. Her experience includes standing up new business units, managing foreclosure and bankruptcy operations, implementing invoicing and servicing platforms, and developing quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with investor and insurer guidelines. At Freddie Mac, she leverages this experience to support CORE reviews, improve consistency in scoping and documentation, and contribute to initiatives involving automation, AI use cases, and reporting enhancements.
