Heather Ashley

Heather Ashley is a dedicated professional in the field of arts education with over 17 years of experience. Based in Denver, Colorado, she has significantly contributed to her local community through her long-term tenure in public education and the arts. A Los Angeles transplant, Heather has been dabbling and learning visual and performing arts since she was in public school herself. She attended Chapman University and received a BA in Theater while auditioning for film, tv, and theater in Hollywood. She began teaching music and visual arts in private schools in Carson CA, and worked her way up to being the Director of the Visual and Performing Arts for Notre Dame Academy Elementary in Culver City CA. Upon moving to Denver Colorado in 2017 Heather began a new adventure as an arts advocate in Denver Public Schools. She joined Denver Classroom Teachers Association as the NW Board of Directors in 2022, and has spent the last 9 years creating and innovating at Colfax Elementary School with 3-10 year old artists. In 2026, Heather started H.A.Arts & Hopper LLC, an arts creation and education business, creating spaces of belonging and creativity for all!
