LIEUTENANT COLONEL FAITH E. WHITE Deputy Director, J6 Joint Force Headquarters, Louisiana National Guard Jackson Barracks, New Orleans, Louisiana Lieutenant Colonel Faith E. White serves as the Deputy Director, J6, Joint Force Headquarters, Louisiana National Guard, where she leads C4 infrastructure management and provides strategic guidance on all J6 matters. In this role, she establishes policies and procedures and delivers expert advice and recommendations to commanders and stakeholders during steady-state operations and across the full spectrum of all-hazards response. Lt. Col. White began her military career in July 2005 when she enlisted in the Louisiana Air National Guard. After completing the Interservice Mechanic Apprentice Course and the Vehicle Equipment and Maintenance Apprentice Course, she served as a Vehicle Equipment and Maintenance Apprentice with the 236th Combat Communications Squadron (CBCS) in Hammond, Louisiana. In February 2009, she earned her commission as a Second Lieutenant through the Air National Guard Academy of Military Science and was assigned as a Network Systems Officer with the 236th CBCS. She later served as the unit’s Administrative Officer and subsequently as a Network Operations Officer, expanding her leadership and technical expertise in expeditionary communications. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Lt. Col. White was assigned as the S6 for the Medical Monitoring Station at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, where she was responsible for delivering and sustaining all communications systems supporting providers, patients, military members, contractors, and staff. In 2021, she transitioned to Joint Force Headquarters as the Information System Security Manager, J6. In 2023, she successfully led the Louisiana National Guard to an excellent rating on both classified and unclassified networks during the Command Cyber Readiness Inspection conducted by the Department of Defense. Lt. Col. White currently serves as the Officer in Charge of the Joint Incident Satellite Communications Capabilities package in support of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Emergency Response Force Package. This unit type code is responsible for preparing and executing contingency communications in support of disaster response and relief operations. Her exercise experience includes Operation Vigilant Guard, Operation Cascadia Rising, EXEVAL 2014, EXEVAL 2017, and numerous additional joint and interagency training events. She has also served as the Alternate Family Readiness Officer since 2011, supporting partial mobilizations of the 236th CBCS in 2011 and 2017. In addition to her domestic response efforts, Lt. Col. White deployed in July 2017 in support of Operations INHERENT RESOLVE and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL as the Contingency Communications Branch Chief, Communications Directorate (A6), Combined Air Operations Center, Headquarters U.S. Air Forces Central Command, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. There, she led a team of 15 Airmen delivering tactical communications capabilities, deconflicting more than 20,000 air tasking orders, and engineering the first-ever voice and radar services network across a single satellite link while forward deployed to Al Asad, Iraq. She managed over 42 tactical communications kits across 12 countries and oversaw systems supporting a 120,000-aircraft military air picture. Her leadership directly enabled 519 coalition airstrikes resulting in the elimination of more than 1,900 enemy combatants. Lt. Col. White has been a key contributor to state and federal disaster response efforts, including the August 2016 Louisiana Flood, Hurricane Laura in 2020, Hurricane Ida in 2021, and Emergency Management Assistance Compact support to Florida for Hurricane Milton in 2024, serving as a lead provider of emergent tactical communications support.
