Casey Walker-Pereida

Casey Walker is an accomplished technology leader with over a decade of experience in the multi-family property management and real estate industry. Her career began in 2011 as a leasing agent, where she developed a strong understanding of on-site operations. In 2014, she transitioned into the corporate technology space, joining a women-owned property management firm as an IT receptionist. Recognized quickly for her technical aptitude and drive, Casey advanced into a technician role and eventually became a senior technician, building a solid foundation in systems support and IT operations. In 2018, Casey leveraged her expertise to become a third-party consultant for a leading property management software platform. While the position deepened her software knowledge, it also confirmed her desire to stay closely connected to the industry. That calling led her back to property management—this time as a Systems Manager—marking the beginning of her leadership journey. Soon after, Casey was recruited to NexMetro Real Estate Corp., a premier developer and operator of build-to-rent (BTR) multi-family communities. At NexMetro, she has flourished. With a strong commitment to leadership development and operational excellence, she now serves as Director of Information Systems. In this role, Casey supports enterprise-level technology strategy across all departments and collaborates closely with the Vice President of Information Systems to oversee the organization’s entire systems landscape. Casey is known for her hands-on experience, strategic mindset, and deep commitment to cultivating strong, empowered teams. Her unique blend of industry knowledge, technical expertise, and leadership acumen continues to drive innovation and performance within her organization.
