Biography
Betty-Ann Pilgrim completed her Registered Nurse Training in Trinidad, in the mid-eighties. She then migrated to the United Kingdom, for some 20 years where she pursued Midwifery, Family Planning, Haemoglobinopathies and a Master of Science Degree in Social Anthropology of Children and Child Development. Betty-Ann returned home in 2008 and has held various posts since her return including-: Lecturer/ Clinical instructor at the University of the Southern Caribbean. Matron of Area Hospital Point Fortin, then San Fernando General & Teaching Hospital Chief Nursing Officer / or National Administrator of Nursing Services for the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, as well as Board Member of the Nursing Council of Trinidad & Tobago. Her most recent achievements include-: 1. co-authorship in the book “Waiting in the Pit”, 2. Becoming Licensed Menopause Champion and 3. Certified Loctician She is married to Economist Dr. Stephen Pilgrim, Professor at Montemorelos University in Mexico, and Dean of the Walla Walla University, USA and they have one adult son, Kairo. Betty-Ann is an avid reader, and a strong contributor to events of Women’s and Family Life Ministries.
