Biography
Nadette Azzopardi has cultivated a deep commitment to social justice, education and public policy throughout her career. With a robust academic background, she holds a Bachelor's Honors Degree in Social Policy, a Diploma in Gender Studies, and a Master's degree in Sociology. This educational foundation has empowered her to engage with critical societal issues, particularly in the areas of social policy and education. Professionally, Nadette has built an extensive career as a sociologist. One of her key accomplishments includes coordinating the Skill Card Policy, a significant initiative aimed at enhancing workforce qualifications. For a decade, she held the esteemed position of Head of Education at the Further and Research Centre in Construction, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the Government of Malta's educational framework of the Skill Card Policy. Her leadership extended beyond education, serving as Chairperson of the Malta and Residency Agency and as a Director within the Individual Investor Programme. These roles allowed her to contribute to the governance and development of key national agencies. Additionally, Nadette has made valuable contributions as a member of the board for both the Children and Young Persons and the Real Estate Agency, further emphasizing her commitment to public service. Outside of her professional life, Nadette has a passion for wellness and outdoor activities, She is dedicated to yoga, running and strength straining, which she finds essential for both physical and mental balance. She also loves to embark on solo adventures in the countryside. She is also a dedicated family woman, sharing her life with her husband, two daughters, and their beloved pets: two cats and a dog. Balancing family, career, and personal passions Nadette finds inspiration in both her professional work and the joy of spending time with loved ones.
