Teresa Alaniz

With 15 years of experience in design, I specialise in design strategy and design operations. I currently work in the consulting industry as the Director of Design Delivery and Strategist. I have led projects from design execution to design strategy for companies with revenues ranging from $150 million to $10 billion. I serve as the primary liaison for projects and clients across sectors such as automotive, consulting, banking, and manufacturing, among others. I lead, guide, and nurture a design team capable of addressing the diverse challenges posed by the projects we undertake. I was born and raised in Mexico. Travelled to Portugal for my Master's and had the opportunity to undertake an internship in Denmark at Via University College. I currently reside in Italy, where I completed my PhD. During my PhD, I had the opportunity to review my research at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands. In my role as director, working in industries historically dominated by men, I actively strive to foster an environment where women on my team feel empowered and confident. In this context, I was a guest speaker at the "Women in Power" event, focusing on the evolution of the automotive industry. In my leisure time, I enjoy activities like opera, meditation, yoga, and pilates.
