Veronica Babayemi

Dr. Veronica Babayemi is a distinguished business leader with a rich and diverse background in finance and telecommunications. Armed with a Masters in Business Administration from Warwick Business School in the United Kingdom, she furthered her academic pursuits with a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from the prestigious London Graduate School, specializing in technology. Veronica's commitment to continuous learning is evident through her leadership certifications from renowned institutions such as Harvard Business School, Lagos Business School, and the Indian Institutes of Management. As the co-founder and Managing Director of Telko Managed Services Ltd (TMS), an international VOIP carrier and interconnect voice clearing house company, Veronica has played a pivotal role in establishing the company as a key player in the industry. Her entrepreneurial journey followed a successful tenure as Vice President of Customer Experience and Operations at Airtel Africa PLC, Nigeria operations. Prior to this, she ventured into the financial sector before transitioning to the telecommunications industry in 2003. Over her impressive 22-year career, Veronica has held strategic leadership positions both within and outside Nigeria. Some of her notable roles include Vice President of Mobile Financial and Digital Services at Airtel Nigeria, Regional Operations Director for South and Eastern Nigeria, Sales Operations Director at Airtel Tanzania, and Regional Head for North Central and North West Regions at Airtel Nigeria. She is renowned for achieving numerous "firsts" and breaking barriers to receive awards for her stellar performance. Veronica's academic and professional achievements are complemented by her active involvement in various professional bodies. She is a certified management consultant and holds fellowships from the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) and the Institute of Credit Administrations (FICA). Additionally, she is a certified management specialist (CMS) from the London Graduate School. A change management expert and thought leader with a broad spectrum of expertise, Veronica's leadership style is characterized by excellent people management skills and a conscious effort of imbibing key personality traits such as integrity, self-awareness, empathy, courage, tenacity, and humility. Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Veronica is actively engaged in social causes.
