Teri Green

Teri Green is an award-winning technology executive, cybersecurity strategist, and advocate for digital equity. As Vice President of Technology at Elevate, a national nonprofit driving energy efficiency and sustainability, she oversees Cybersecurity, Data & Analytics, and Information Technology operations, leveraging innovation to create scalable, secure systems that serve communities nationwide. With over 18 years of leadership experience across education, public, and enterprise sectors, Teri has served as CIO, CISO, and strategic advisor, leading major digital transformations for organizations such as KIPP SoCal Public Schools and Normandy Schools Collaborative. Her career blends deep technical expertise with a passion for empowerment, from advancing cybersecurity maturity to ensuring technology closes, not widens, the equity gap. Teri is also the creator of the Encrypted Diversity Framework, an award-nominated model that integrates equity, policy, and cybersecurity practices, and the visionary author behind “Code Quest: The Ethics Engine”, the first children’s book to teach AI ethics and digital citizenship through storytelling. A respected thought leader, Teri serves as President of the WiCyS St. Louis Affiliate, Advisory Board Member for SecureWorld STL, and Mentor with TechSTL, helping develop the next generation of diverse technology leaders. She is also a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council and a 2025 People of Color Emerging Policy and Advocacy Leader. Driven by her belief that representation in tech is a cybersecurity imperative, Teri continues to bridge technology, policy, and purpose, ensuring that innovation reflects inclusion at every level.
