Mariella Maisonnave

An educator and communications professional, Mariella Maisonnave has been teaching English for over 20 years to people of different ages, different backgrounds and different abilities. She holds a TESOL Certificate from Trinity College London, and a Specialization in Creating and Adapting Educational Materials from Jaen University in Spain. In the Communications field, Mariella is responsible for the Communication Office at the Ministry of Housing and Land Planning in Uruguay. In this role, she is in charge of all content delivered though their platforms (web, social networks, media, publications), as well as production of institutional events. As a freelancer, Mariella holds more than 15 years of experience in creating, editing, localizing and adapting contents in Spanish and English. A prolific writer, Mariella is the author of the journalistic chronicle BASTA, el surgimiento del movimiento Un Solo Uruguay, and co-author of Un catálogo de la ausencia, a collective work written by 25 authors entirely via WhatsApp, which is a book released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Editorial Planeta. Passionate about her work, Mariella credits her success to dedication, drive, and perseverance. She looks forward to networking with likeminded professionals.
