Alexandra Piatkowski Launches Piat Public Health to Advance Data-Driven, Equitable Community Health Solutions

Toronto, ON — 2025 — Alexandra Piatkowski, MPH, PMP®, a seasoned public health consultant, epidemiologist, and project manager has launched Piat Public Health, a consulting firm dedicated to helping public health, healthcare, and community-based organizations understand and address complex health challenges through data-driven insight, inclusive engagement, and strategic action.

Founded in 2025, Piat Public Health builds on Alexandra’s more than ten years of experience leading large-scale, multi-stakeholders community health and strategic initiatives across Canada, the U.S., and internationally. The firm partners with hospitals, public health agencies, nonprofits, and coalitions, among other organizations, to translate data into meaningful, community-centered action that advances health equity and measurable impact.

“Public health is at its strongest when data, lived experience, and strategy come together,” said Piatkowski. “Piat Public Health was created to support organizations and communities in making informed, inclusive decisions that lead to healthier, more equitable outcomes.”

Prior to founding Piat Public Health, Alexandra served as Director of Operations and Senior Public Health Consultant at Moxley Public Health, where she helped grow the firm’s international portfolio and led numerous Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs/CHAs) and Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIPs)/Implementation Strategies for hospitals, public health agencies, and multi-sector coalitions.

Her career also includes leadership roles at University Health Network (UHN), Health Commons Solutions Lab at Sinai Health, and Amplify Care. At UHN, Alexandra spearheaded the development of the world’s first comprehensive Seniors Emergency Medicine (SEM) Centre, securing a historic $52 million donation to build Canada’s first accredited emergency department designed specifically for older adults, alongside a new SEM research and education institute.

In addition to her consulting work, Alexandra is a committed mentor and community advocate. She supports emerging public health professionals through formal and informal mentorship and serves as Co–Vice President of the Toronto Council on Aging, where she advances age-friendly, intergenerational community initiatives.

Alexandra holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo. She is also a certified Project Management Professional® (PMP®) and a recipient of the Gordon Cressy Leadership Award (2017).
