After working in the space and government sectors for two decades, Kellie Ann Terrones has transitioned to coaching full time and is now the CEO and owner of Silent Scars Abuse Recovery Coach. A domestic violence victim advocate, she recognizes and believes domestic violence awareness needs a louder voice of support. Her purpose and mission are geared towards spreading the word, to no longer let domestic violence be invisible and lonely, to help others cope with triggers and overcome trauma, and to reverse the abuse mindset that has been instilled in them so they can once again be unapologetically whole again.
While serving as Project Specialist for Virgin Galactic, Kellie regularly went above and beyond to help make commercial space travel become a reality. She is based in Glendale, California and has draws upon experience in the space industry as she supports the Engineering and Program team. She was recently awarded the Virgin Star of the year for Virgin Galactic and travelled to London to represent The Spaceship Company.
Previously, Kellie spent 6 years at NASA, working on Space Shuttle missions and X planes. She graduated at the top of her class in Business and Architecture at City College and is working toward a degree in Neuro Linguistic Programming. She is also a certified Life and Health Coach, and the founder of inspirational podcast Women’s Empowerment Junkie, which empowers women through their stories and life’s journeys of helping others speak their truths. She loves to inspire other women who have survived the trauma of domestic violence, and encourage them to live their best lives and love who they are.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Kellie is learning to fly and will soon complete a private pilot’s license. She enjoys music, travel and meditation, and is always keen to pursue deeper research in the areas of her passion.
