She has also held government positions, including serving as a Planning Commissioner, Chair of the Planning Commission, and elected Council Member in Carlsbad, California.
 
With extensive training and experience in nonprofit and for-profit management, as well as advocacy for effective legislation, Douglas brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role at the Liver Health Foundation. The Liver Health Foundation, a California-based 501(c)(3) organization, serves the Greater Los Angeles area, including the Inland Empire, Orange County, and Northern California. Their mission is to support liver patients, caregivers, and medical professionals by providing free webinars and seminars and offering updated and reliable information about liver diseases.
